Richard Davy

Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer

Richard Davy has been serving families throughout the Valley for more than four decades. Raised in the funeral home by his parents, Jim and Geri Davy, Richard developed a deep appreciation for funeral service at an early age while learning alongside his family and funeral home founder Clifford Botto. After graduating from Oakdale High School, Richard attended the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science, where he earned his licenses as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. His knowledge, experience, and lifelong connection to the community have made him a trusted guide for countless families during their most difficult moments. Richard and his wife, Elaine, a lifelong Oakdale resident, are proud parents of three children, including one serving in the United States Air Force and another in the United States Navy. Outside the funeral home, Richard enjoys spending time with family and friends, landscape gardening, restoring projects in his workshop, and preserving his beautifully restored 1963 Pontiac combination ambulance and funeral coach. Today, Richard continues to serve with the same compassion and dedication that have defined his career for more than 40 years. We are grateful that he remains an important part of the Oak & River Funeral Homes family, providing both exceptional care for today's families and a meaningful connection to the funeral home's rich history. What Richard hopes every family feels: "That they were cared for like family and never had to face their loss alone."
