Vency Erb

We are saddened to announce the passing of Vency Rosemary Erb, affectionately known as Rosemary, on July 13, 2026. Born on July 2, 1954, in Oakdale, California, she was a beacon of immense love and generosity, which radiated throughout her 72 years of life. She was a creative and thoughtful soul, always planning family gatherings with meticulous care and ensuring everyone felt welcome and loved. In the words of Maya Angelou, "I sustain myself with the love of family," and this was certainly true for Vency.

Vency worked tirelessly for 35 years at a local chocolate factory, where her creativity and commitment were deeply valued. A line worker by profession, she was much more than her job title. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and an adored grandmother and great-grandmother. Vency found immense joy and satisfaction in her work, but what mattered most to her was her family. She was the heart of her family, and her love, generosity, and thoughtful nature will be deeply missed.

Vency is survived by her loving husband, William Erb, her caring mother, Eva Valverde, her devoted son, Harvey Magers, and her cherished grandchildren, Alyssa and Madison Magers, and her great-grandson, Skyler Groom. She was preceded in death by her father, Felix Valverde.

A viewing will be held at Oak & River Funeral Homes - Oakdale, located at 830 West F Street, Oakdale, California, 95361, on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 9:00 am PDT. A chapel service will follow at 10:00 am PDT at the same location. A graveside service will be held at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery, located at 701 East J Street, Oakdale, California, 95361, on the same day at 11:30 pm PDT.

Vency's life was a gift to us all, and while we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the love, joy, and warmth she brought to our lives.
